About
Neeta qualified in 1988 and founded Desor & Co in 1995. Desor & Co grew from strength to strength and of late merged with JJ Law Chambers as she plans her retirement. For those who know her well, clients and colleagues alike, remain convinced that she will continue practicing the law with the passion for many years to come and retirement is but a distant future. She is a consummate and skilled litigator, having specialised in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence actions and has skilfully concluded complex injury cases to settlement including involvement in a class action. She has also dealt with claims by potential beneficiaries in probate disputes.
For the last 20 year she has devoted her time in large part to the practice of Family law. She is an accredited specialist in this field. She has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, from simple to complex financial disputes following divorce, separation and relationship breakdown, including those between unmarried couples. She has dealt with numerous children matters including abductions and removal from the jurisdiction. She has extensive experience in domestic abuse and injunctions and has dealt with these actions with empathy and care.
She has lectured the Police on a regular basis on the intricacies of dealing with arrests on site and the specific nuances involved in a domestic situation. She is a former President of the Middlesex Law Society, chairperson of a Women’s Charity in Hillingdon, instrumental in setting up the legal advice clinic thus creating a balance in her vision, both private and charitable.
The following has been said of her:
“She thinks outside of the box and is willing to push the boundary to achieve a successful result for her client”
Neeta has taken a step back from management but continues to remain vibrantly passionate about the practice of law and its continued growth and this fundamentally restrains her from departing any time soon.
